This week I'm off to Pennsic! Two weeks of SCA, camping and seeing friends. I haven't gone in a couple of years so I'm excited. I had to make a few new outfits and while doing so I found a shirt I started to make for an ex of mine that wanted to go to the PA Ren Faire with me... I had coffee and fresh blueberry muffins with my sister this morning, I had just pulled the muffins out of the oven when she got here. We sat and chatted for a bit and then after work called to see if I could cover someone's shift and I said no for the first time we pulled a few things out of the garden.

I found a friend! or at least someone to pal around with locally, she showed me the Roaring Run trail. I've been wanting to go but I never could bring myself to go alone so when she texted to suggest taking a ride I packed up the bike and we had a nice ride for a few hours and then she showed me a water fall at the end of the one trail.

LOL... it's been forever since I actually completed a sewing project that wasn't just a repair job. I've had things cut and ready to got and for a while it seemed like I was collected fabric instead of making things but I got the Bright, Bold, Batik Butterfly skirt done last night and it is now the most colorful garment in my closet not counting ( Read more... )

So I am making a new bodice for the Ren Faire for a friend...(waves!) and after making the pattern that will hopefully fit her properly I just couldn't leave it alone until she gets me the fabric...
